By the 1990's, the "sign painter" had been usurped by the artist. Digital was emerging at the time and was proving to be a medium that could expand his ability to bring his imagination to life, but painting was still his greatest passion. Most of these works are oil or acrylic on canvas. The 90's represents a clear shift from the bright colors, sign paint and synthetic materials of the frantic emergent "painter as artist" to the "painter as painter".
