Named for Michael D. Palm, whose contribution was instrumental to the completion of Telluride's premier performing arts venue, the Palm theatre was designed as an homage to the festival itself, and in it's confines are represented remnants of theatres from our past, over 100 silk prints of Telluride tributees, photographs of memorable moments in festival history and displays to honor the renown Technical and Production staffs. Giant welcoming hands, a 28' animated reproduction of the Opera House's SHOW sign, an original soundscape, a dramatic lighting design and four original pre-show videos all serve to create an environment that speaks to a festival with a rich history. Sound Design: Bill Wolford, Video: Buzz Hays, Lighting Design: Elaine Buckholtz
